This is not your Little Mermaid! :p
This was a great read, since I don't usually read books from a male protagonists point of view, even though I write them, I don't see many of them in YA Supernatural fiction. So this was interesting and I enjoyed it. The Vicious Deep was very different and fun. It definitely had its serious moments, but all in all, it wasn't a heavy read. I think it's perfect for a summer read or something light and unique.
I enjoyed the characters, even though Tristan started out a little rocky for me. He made me like him and the mermaids, oh snap, the mermaids!!! you just have to read to find out. I cannot wait for the second installment in the series. Zoraida, you are a wonderful writer and I cannot wait to check out more of your books!
