This was a great read!
If you loved "Mean Girls" then this is for you.
It has some funny moments and the story line just went great and the characters were realistic.
In high school for me, there were never girls who were like Lauren, but there were these two girls who called themselves The Stephenies and tried to make themselves the mean girls of our school and it shot to hell after some cholas called them out LOL so I've never gone through much of what Claire's (Helen) gone through but I felt for her and I actually liked how it ended. Awesome book! I'll need to read more of Eileen Cook in the future.

Review: The Body

The Body by Stephen King

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just as good as the movie.
I have never read a Stephen King book before and I'm so glad
that this was my first. I must have more King now. I just loved
the rawness of the story, and how these characters worked. Chris
is my favorite character in the book and in the movie and this novella
makes me want to watch the movie right now. If you have not seen "Stand by me"
then go rent it or watch it online. It's a perfect coming of age movie and the book
is just as perfect.

Review: Perception

I really wanted to love this book.
I had been patiently waiting for this to come out and when I contacted the publisher
and they agreed to send me a review copy, I WAS ECSTATIC! but then I read the book... very disappointed. I love Kim Harrington's writing, but the book was severely predictable.
There were too many twists and just when you thought you figured it out, it was changed up and that was predictable. The ending was hard to read because I knew who it was all along and it just didn't get me. If you are planning to read this sequel, go ahead because this is my opinion and it shouldn't sway you from trying out a book that could end up your favorite. 3 stars for me. Maybe the third book will be better, but I'm not counting on it. Maybe CLARITY should have been standalone.

Doppelganger by David Stahler Jr.

This book was great. I loved the originality and the characters were very realistic
and raw. I suspense was good and the romance was good too, I liked that the romance wasn't bigger than the story line. This was definitely a creepy ass read. I have to pick up another David Stahler Jr. book soon. :)

This was a good ass read.

These are the types of main characters we need to see more in YA fiction. Jeff is the type of character who is a dick and doesn't think he is and even in the end, he still thinks he's great. It shows the realness of people because not everyone is going to change or grow, some people stay the same and I loved that. I hate those stories where let's say a girl is a mean girl, and throughout the book she grows and she sees how she is and realizes that it's not right. BLAH!!! so cliche and annoying. Ellen (The Fat Girl) was a great character as well and I love how she grew to stand up for herself against Jeff. I need more YA contemporary ASAP!!! I'd ask everyone who loves to read YA Contemporary to pick this up.

There a lot of filling & not enough cake.

I think I will explain it better in my video BELOW.

I wanted to LOVE this book, but it took a turn for the bad.
It started out real good, and then it plummeted down in a not so good way.

But I will check out "Wake" when it comes out in 2012. I think Amanda Hocking is a really good writer and I hope I read something else from her that I fully enjoy.

So even though my first dystopian novel
"Hollow" isn't even out yet, I've already put the cast of the make believe movie together lol a lot of authors do this and I think as the author that I have the perfect cast. Most of you will be like WHAT??? because you don't know the characters or story yet but these actors are who I see as the characters from the book. I'd give this book twenty stars if Goodreads could let me.
I have not been enthralled or captivated by a book in a very long time
& I'd like to thank Michelle Harrision for writing this book.
I love that Michelle didn't hold back on gruesome moments, or decrease the amounts of blood just because this is a middle-grade novel. Children are exposed to worse everyday, why shield them from realistic events? Michelle has also inspired me, as an author not to hold back on things that may be too YA or Adult for middle-grade readers. THANK YOU MICHELLE!! I cannot wait to devour the rest of the trilogy & join Tanya on her next fantastic adventure.

I used to be the type of person that was "Fuck ebooks!" but now that I've read a few, I take my words back and stuff them down, hard. I still love physical books more, but ebooks aren't that bad, especially when your broke as hell & can't afford a 17.99 hardback or 10.99 paperback at Barnes or Walmart. "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer!

I'll give it 2 stars because it had potential.

(if this sounds like a bashing review, it is not... I actually enjoyed some parts of this book.)

I heard Meyer in a barnes and noble video interview say that she didn't research vampire mythology and even after the book came out, she stayed away from such things as "buffy the vampire slayer" and so on. How can you write a book about vampires and not do research??? speaking as an author I can understand the need for uniqueness in a book, but NOT doing research, in the end, makes you look dense and uneducated in story telling. I may be a self-published author, with no college education in writing, but I make an effort to give my readers a well put together story. Meyer said it herself "This was never supposed to come out." she says this a lot and makes me want to respond to her in person "then you should have kept it to yourself." no one held a gun to her head and said "we want your book, give it to us now." so using that excuse for how awful or poorly written your book is, is pure BULLSHIT. I may not be the best writer in the world- no one is, but if my book sucks or I hear people bashing it, I will say "oh well, I didn't write it for you and if it didn't please you, that is not my fault." excuses lead to bullshit and so on.

now... to get on the actual story.

"Bella" I want to smack you across your ivory toned face.
Her character is a pretty much a regular character, no special qualities, other than being a bitch to guys who make an effort to be kind, but going after a dead guy who wants to kill her and mount her on his bedroom wall. She is a weak protagonist and she is NOT a HEROINE. A heroine defends themselves and has balls... Bella is... I don't know. She moves to forks to stay with her dad, who I liked and begins attending the high school, where she meets a couple of guys who turn out to "like" her, even though she's a complete bitch and doesn't talk much, or give anyone any time to like her. Bella then becomes infatuated with "Edward Cullen", a pale dickhead. Also, I don't know girls who would be okay with their boyfriend being a blood sucking vampire.. Bella's cool with it, but in reality I bet a girl would shit her pants and run... far away. She'd either eventually come to accept her boyfriend or want nothing to do with him.

"Edward" oh how I'd like to stake you with a buffy trademarked stake.
His character is pretty much a dick. He doesn't want anything to do with Bella (for about a week) then all of a sudden he wants her... then he doesn't.... then he does... DAFUK?! dude make up your mind! he has an asshole personality and he comes off as mentally abusive to Bella. He wants to kill her... he should have left her to get hit by a car... he wants to love her... he tells her she should stay away from him, because he's dangerous. NOW, I don't know many teen girls and even girls my age (23) would NOT pursue a guy who tells you to stay away from him, because he's dangerous... you just say "ok." then carry on with your Cullenless life.

"Jacob" I love you.
the only parts of this book that I enjoyed was the introduction of "Jacob Black" and the other part when he showed up. He's so cute and I just want him to keep... forever.

Vampires in this book should not be called vampires. In Meyer's "Twilight" her vamps SPARKLE and are like cold stone(not the ice cream.) and they don't have FANGS. WTF OMFG AYFS?

The reason I gave this book 2 stars is because they story did have potential to be better, but it was Meyer's first book and she never intended it to be a worldwide release, but it still could have been better. I will not carry on with the rest of this series, even though I am a huge Jacob fan, I will just drool over Taylor Lautner on screen. The book was okay, if you like romance and nothing else... there was action, but it was only a scene of it.

Meyer, good job with telling your story, but I did not enjoy "Twifart".
